The One-Pointed Mind Workshops
Restoring the conditions for Human flourishing

These research-informed professional learning workshops examine the psychology of attention and emotion and their implications in our personal and professional lives. Participants explore the biological and psychological foundations of attention and emotion and learn practical contemplative techniques that enhance creativity, relational presence, and stress management. Includes 6 CTLE hours for educators.

Whether you're a team leader, project developer, or educator, you have a vested interest in not only your own well-being but the well-being of those you serve. Personal and professional pressures place sustained demands on our attention, emotional regulation, and relational presence. Over time, everyone experiences fatigue, fragmentation, and narrowing of awareness; not as a failure of skill, but as a natural human response to personal and professional burdens.
This 6-hr workshop is a restorative professional learning experience to discuss and understand the nature of emotional processes, enhancing mental clarity, and the sometimes absent connection with the purpose and conditions that expand creativity. This is not a compliance-based workshop. It is human-centered, experiential, and grounded by the latest science in attentional and emotional development.
There will be a discussion and exploration of what is commonly deemed 'meditative practices' and the evidence for their benefit to human flourishing. Depending upon your personal disposition or environmental setting, contemplative practices often prove to be a catalyst for meaningful change in both human biological and psychological processes. You leave with viable tools for future use.
Who it’s for
Open to all educators, leaders, instructional coaches, counselors, and even artists! No prior experience with contemplative practices required. All discussions and practices are secular, practical, and adaptable to personal dispositions and settings.

What others Are Saying...

"It was back in around 2013, when my sisters and I were first exposed to the concept of meditation by Mr. Lawrence. We had a high-stakes exam coming up, and the thought of how our future depends on it consumed our minds. After attempting this form of meditation, we had realized how such an effortless process could allow the mind to experience such calmness and inner peace. I have recommended this to my brother (who's also a physician) and would insist on it becoming a regular practice within schools. Since mental health is an important yet neglected aspect in this day and age, I believe it would aid in attempting to lead healthier lifestyles." - Dr. Hera Ali

"Steve Lawrence is the teacher and life coach we all wish for our children. His One-Pointed Mind Workshops are a culmination of a life passionately dedicated to the principles and practices of wellness, mindfulness, and love. In our current times, Steve's teachings are the gift your school community needs. This OPM series will inspire and motivate your team to create authentic wellness and meaningful change.  For me personally, it is not a stretch to share that Steve's teachings are akin to a gift from elsewhere. They have remained in my daily life for over a decade, and have made me a better person."  -
